Sebhorreic Keratosis
Sun Damage, Environment & Congenital Changes
Sebhoreic Keratosis - a common, harmless, non cancerous growth that often resemble dark, brown crusty or waxy patches that have been 'stuck on'. Â They are commonly found on face, Â chest back & shoulders. Â They are part of the natural ageing process but can be stimulated by environment / UV exposure, hormone changes.

They are easily removed. Â With almost 30 years experience of removing skin conditions I have treatment options depending on the individual condition.

Raised crusty patches are often treated with advanced Electrolysis - the growth is  treated using a gentle cautery to remove the raised crust.  It will form a scab that will heal & drop off normally 5 - 14 days.
​
Flat Pigmented patches are treated with Cryotherapy - the area is treated with a N2O.  The skin will become initially raised like a bee sting, scab over & heal  normally 7 14 days.

The result - a smooth, flat, new area of skin.

Aftercare for your skin
​
Use Savlon, Aloe or Witch Hazel Gel on the treated area.
The treated area will develop a scab - do not pick.
Avoid prolonged periods of bathing, swimming, sauna.
Shower as normal but pat dry, do not rub the skin.
Keep out of the sun whilst the treated area heals. Â
Protect skin with SPF 50 to prevent further damage.

You may want to avoid social occasions 2 weeks following treatment.
